The Combilift company was established by two engineers, Martin McVicar and Robert Moffett. Between them, they had more than four decades of experience in engineering when they established the company during the year 1998 within Monaghan, Ireland. In just more than a decade, Combilift became a leader in the worldwide long-load handling market, delivering products to over 50 markets worldwide. Supported by a trusted global network of distributors which have helped expand distribution into numerous markets around the globe and using their extensive experience and knowledge, McVicar and Moffett have built equipment that had sold 10,000 models by mid 2009 and are in high demand.
Beneath is a summary of some of the Combilift models.
C-Series Combilifts come in an array of mast options. Lift heights up to nine meters and lift capacities up to 25,000 kilograms are available. Engines are available in electric or battery, LPG or gas and diesel and the C-Series Combilifts can work in guided aisles as narrow as 210 centimetres wide.
Combilift Straddle Carriers offer the ability to move oversized, heavy cargo like fully loaded containers which weigh up to 35 tons. These loads can be transported all around a facility or work site and the Combilift Straddle Carrier can carry fully loaded containers where required, whether it be from the ground to the trailer, from trailer to trailer or from the trailer to the ground. These machines are a cost-effective, effective solution for numerous haulage, shipping, and distribution businesses, even those with low throughput levels.
The SL-Series side-loaders are machinery capable of driving in four directions due to its multi-directional steering. This all-wheel drive, hydrostatic forklift can benefit companies in lots of ways, one of which is to enable facilities to have aisles which are narrower. It also enables the capability to bulk or block stack by driving forward. This highly manoeuvrable type of truck is often found to be a superior alternative compared to many conventional sit-down sideloaders because of the many additional capabilities and features.
