The lift truck application all around the world has grown in insurmountable measures when it comes to the manufacturing and warehousing businesses. A lift truck is a powered industrial truck utilized for raising and moving things. The machine has gradually changed and today there are many modern designs for moving and lifting objects. In the last decades, the machine has significantly grown and the designs have evolved so there are various trucks and many modern designs to suit every specific application. Loads are capable of reaching and lifting to greater heights than ever before.

Lift truck models are available in a large variety of different power types like: gasoline, diesel, electric, diesel and liquid propane or LP units. The load capacities of these models vary greatly as there are many manufacturers building and designing them. Like for instance, some units could reach a height of more than 3000 mm or more than 10,000 kg.

The forklift truck features include an overhead guard, mast and axles, the counterweight, and the truck frame to which the base of the power source and all aforementioned items are attached. On the rear side there is a counterweight attached to the truck. This counterweight counterbalances the cargo which is being carried so as to keep the equipment stable.

The operator sits inside a cab and uses the controls to dictate the machine's movements. The overhead is one more feature, which is a metal roof in order to protect the operator from falling objects. Hydraulic tilt cylinders mounted to the frame and the mast. These tilts pivot the mast in order to engage the load. The mast is a vertical assembly that raises and lowers the cargo with the interlocking rails to provide lateral stability.

Lots of warehouses and businesses use forklifts on a daily basis to raise and transport goods and supplies. These days, there are a lot of different second-hand and new forklifts offered in the market at competitive prices. Those who depend on transportation and occasional lifting can use rental lift trucks because they are also available.
