Linamar Corporation, referred to as LNR on the TSX, bought Skyjack during August 2002. Linamar is best recognized for its production of assemblies, modules and precision-machined parts. Linamar's solid balance sheet provides Skyjack with increased strength and long-term stability in general. Skyjack presently has production facilities in Hungary, the United States and North Dakota with support offices within Asia and Europe.
The company provides a comprehensive line of self-propelled scissor lifts. Several models have elevated work heights up to 56ft. Skyjack became a leader within the industry by offering machinery features that combined serviceability, durability, quality and service, making Skyjack scissor lifts known throughout the globe for product dependability. The company's existing Boom lift model lineup consists of telescopic booms. These models provide telescopic booms which feature work heights ranging from 45 to 71 feet. In the month of August 2007, the acquisition of Volvo's Material Handling Equipment business complements the purchase of Carelift Equipment. This business acquisition expands Skyjack's Telehandler product offering leading to the additional Zoom Boom series and the VR series telehandlers.
